Christmas Song
Back in 2009—maybe 2010—I went looking for a Christmas song that spoke to people who feel alone during the holidays. So many songs celebrate family and togetherness, but not everyone has that. And at the time, I was feeling that loneliness myself.
I wanted to write something honest, something that acknowledged both the joy and the grief that December can bring. A reminder that Christmas isn’t defined by who we’re with, but by what we carry in our hearts.
That song became my way of encouraging anyone who struggles this time of year: the light of Christmas can still reach us, even in our quietest moments.
